COVID-19 Cases on the Rise in Kerr County

Increase in COVID-19 cases in Kerr County have risen since the beginning of July, and the Delta variant is more contagious than previous COVID last year. Last week, Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly was recommending residents to mask up and get vaccinated at the last meeting held between Judge Rob Kelly and CEO Cory Edmonson of Peterson Regional Medical Center. Kerr County vaccinated rate is at 41% which is below national average. CDC has recommended for those vaccinated to wear a mask while indoors to prevent the spread of the Delta variant. As you know, just because you are vaccinated does not mean you cannot carry the virus to an unvaccinated person. I encourage everyone to mask up for your safety and those around you.
